The 2026 Tour de France Shines a Spotlight on the Alps<\/h2>\n

On Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25, 2026<\/strong>, the Tour de France<\/a> will offer two exceptional days in Alpe d’Huez<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The first stage will lead riders to the resort via the historic climb and its famous 21 hairpin bends<\/strong>. The following day, another high-mountain stage will bring them back to Alpe d’Huez<\/strong> after a particularly demanding route. <\/p>\n

For two days, the alpine roads, peaks, and villages of Oisans will be watched by millions of enthusiasts. Much more than a cycling competition, the Tour de France<\/strong> is a tremendous showcase for our mountains<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

It highlights their beauty, as well as their ability to host international events<\/strong> in a popular and authentic atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Col de la Loze, a now legendary legacy<\/h2>\n

In 2025<\/strong>, the Tour de France crossed M\u00e9ribel<\/strong> and Courchevel<\/strong> to reach the Col de la Loze<\/strong>. This stage significantly reinforced the reputation of this climb, culminating at 2,304 meters of altitude<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Today, the pass remains accessible to cyclists from both M\u00e9ribel and Courchevel. Its dedicated lane<\/strong> allows riders to experience the sensations of an emblematic climb, far from car traffic. <\/p>\n

The Tour’s passage thus leaves a lasting mark on the region. Once the riders have departed, the roads remain and continue to attract athletes who come to discover the Alps at their own pace. <\/p>\n
